They don’t really have the units that make an army self-sufficient: logistics units to transport supplies, artillery units to fire big guns or helicopters for air support.The Afghan war has been active for eight years now with hundreds of Canadian troops injured and on a mission with a never-ending completion. The troops were scheduled to come home in 2011 but Stephen Harper has different plans. The Canadian Troops are now remaining another four years in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, for a ‘NATO training centre.'

Kristine, Make sure also that you are provide a comment on each post you make. I noted in a previous comment that you need to provide some context to the conflict. Currently, Canadian - and indeed American - forces are dealing with an insurgency. And many would argue that they are doing an exceptional job (at least the armed forces and some politicians believe so). Take some time to research and blog about the strategy and tactics they are using. You should also consider what it is they are trying to achieve.
